Long blooming white flowers all summer! Parthenium integrifolium (Wild Quinine) matures to 120 cm (4 ft) and has white, dense flowers on a strong stem.
Wild Quinine is typically found in dry areas of prairies and open woods. The leaves were used medicinally as a tea to reduce fevers (known as Wild Quinine and American Feverfew.) Beetles feed on the pollen, while the other insects seek nectar. The flowers also attract Halictine bees, wasps, flies, and beetles.
Can withstand long periods without water because of the long taproot.
Cold Stratification needed. Ensure contact with soil. Keep moist.
