Polystichum Acrostichoides / Christmas fern

You asked for another native plant for under trees and shade gardens from Jardin Buzz, and here it is! Polystichum Acrostichoides is one of the least difficult ferns to grow for urban gardens. Plant it with our other shade-friendly options, like gerenium, hepatica, and trillium, to increase biodiversity on the shady side of the street! Plant in soil rich in organic matter.

Advice :

If your ferns are exposed to direct sunlight, be sure to keep them moist.

Ferns don't like to be transplanted, but if you must, sing a song, do a little dance and dig up the fern in the spring... Water well and your fern will do wonderfully.
