Description
A true spring ephemeral, the dwarf larkspur (wild larkspur) blooms in spikes of blue flowers in spring, then fades in early summer. Remember, your larkspur is simply dormant, it is not dead! Most soil conditions are suitable. The name tricorn refers to the three-pointed seed pod. Be careful, this plant can be toxic to pets and can cause serious illness if ingested by humans.
Blue flowers are useful for long-tongued bees, hummingbirds and butterflies.
